I love humans!

I took the boys to breakfast at Village Inn last Friday cuz they were sad that I was going to Chicago for the weekend.

They LOVE playing the "claw machine" so I gave them a dollar so they could each have ONE turn. Neither of them got anything, which is fine... they are such good boys that they never get upset when they don't get anything cuz they do "positive thinking."

Well, I guess an older couple was pretty impressed with my amazing little men that didn't whine because they took it upon themselves to play the claw machine until they won 2 "stuffly" animals and came over to our table to give them to us.

The Boat

Our second time out on the boat this season was pure AWESOME! Aunt Sarah and Ginger were in town and joined Papa, the boys & me for some fun in the sun ~

Tyler was very busy training for the ToughMan Competition as well as building... well, we're not sure what he was building exactly, but it looked pretty scary!

And as would be expected, in the midst of all his toughness he found a few minutes to remind us of what a loving humanitarian he really is... He found an "injured" ladybug (it had a piece of sand under it's shell and couldn't close properly) so Tyler had Papa "surgerize" it so it could fly again.

Caleb got some super sweet new shades for our outing but unfortunately experienced some ocular sensitivity due to the sunscreen in his eyes (sorry about that buddy) and spent most of his time on the boat eating chips.

Once his eyes started feeling a little better he went "surfing" for the first time and I must say, he was actually pretty good...

Time passes so quickly!

Wow, time passes so quickly! We all got a
case of Strep throat that really kept us
down for a while (me more so than the boys)
Even tho they were sick too, Tyler and Caleb were so helpful and took such good care of me... They would bring me things to make me more comfortable like a blanket or water or food… I am truly blessed to have such amazing little angels!

As the time passes quickly my babies are turning into little men right before my eyes… They have been going down to the creek by themselves to play with neighborhood kids. They are LOVING the independence, and I am very excited to see them off exploring on their own. I'm not gonna lie, it's a little scary. I thought Tyler was missing one day and I completely panicked (thanks for rescuing me Alisa!) All was well, he was just wandering around the neighborhood picking flowers and collecting rocks...
Grandma and Papa went to Australia and brought them home some leather "cowboy" hats with real crocodile teeth in them! So now when they go to the creek the look like real buckaroos! Oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention the boomerangs! I warned them, if they kill any animals with the boomerangs - they're eating them!

The other good news in our house is that Caleb has decided that he is going to start playing the violin again! He decided to stop for a while, but has realized that he really enjoys playing it... Get his authograph now, cuz he's gonna be famous!

Easter

Ok, so obviously I'm still learning about all this fancy technology so some things got cut off, but you'll get the point. (I hope)
Easter was weird this year because there was snow on the ground, so we had to find fun ways to entertain ourselves indoors...

P.S. For those of you who don't know, Death Grass is what we call Easter Grass in our house cuz on Tyler's first Easter he decided that it looked tasty, tried to eat it and choked!

Tyler is the coolest kid!

Mornings are always the most stressful part of our day, the last few days have been exceptionally rough and after a major meltdown yesterday I woke up to a wonderful surprise today. Tyler woke up very early, got himself dressed (including socks, glasses AND shoes), he even brushed his teeth! Then he snuck downstairs and set out a "breakfast buffet"... Not only did he set out the dishes (bowls, spoons, cups and straws) but he set out several options for breakfast and decorated the "buffet" with little figurines... My favorite decoration was the note that said "Love Tyler - I love you Mommy." He even set my car keys out cuz he knows that I can never find them in the morning! Brings tears to my eyes to know that I have been blessed with such an amazing angel that takes such good care of me ~:o)

Mowhawk Madness

Ok, it's official... The boys finally got the Mowhawks they've been talking about forever! It was hard to get good pictures cuz they are both pretty sick and were really tired, but here ya go :

Thanks for the inspiration Uncle Micah ~;o)

Orrrrr, was cousin Maveric really the inspiration??
